Let go of the familiar and venture
into the direction God is calling you.
God is trying to take us to a new place.
He’s got connections waiting for us there.
Provision is already made for us in that
place He’s calling us to; but we are
drawn to the familiar. How many times
have you said but I’m comfortable?
Well come out of your comfort zone.
You’ve been given clear instructions.
Like Jonah he went in the opposite
direction of God’s instructions.
I thought, Lord help me to not do that.
Help me to step away from the familiar
and venture into the new direction
You’re calling me to.
I don’t want to miss Your divine
connections nor Your provision.

1 Kings 17:2. Then the word
of the LORD came to Elijah: “saying,
3. “Get away from here and turn eastward,
and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows
into the Jordan.
4. “And it will be that you shall
drink from the brook, and I have
commanded the ravens to feed you there.”
5. So he went and did according to the
word of the Lord, for he went and stayed
by the Brook Cherith, which flows
into the Jordan.
6. The ravens brought him bread
and meat in the morning, and bread
and meat in the evening;
and he drank from the brook.
